About The Position
The Residential HVAC Install Assistant supports lead installers in the installation of residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in the HVAC industry while gaining hands-on experience in system installation, tools, and job site safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior construction or HVAC experience is a plus, but not required
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license (preferred)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork
- Load, unload, and transport equipment and materials to job sites
- Help prepare job sites, including setting up tools and maintaining cleanliness
- Follow directions from lead installer to complete installations efficiently
- Drill, cut, and assemble materials as needed
- Assist with basic electrical and mechanical connections under supervision
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles
- Ensure all work complies with company standards and safety regulations
- Provide courteous and professional interaction with customers when on-site
