About The Position

Falcon Ridge Ranch is a residential treatment program that provides a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for vulnerable young women who are referred from juvenile courts and social service agencies both locally and across the country. The youth enter the program with a history of abuse, neglect, trauma, substance abuse, mental illness, and violence. They graduate from Falcon Ridge Ranch as educated young women who have overcome challenges and have demonstrated making healthy choices for themselves and for their future. As a Group Supervisor, you will have the unique opportunity to create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for the youth we serve while building a career rich in growth opportunities and self-fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Be empathetic, patient, consistent, and compassionate.
  • Have an honest work ethic, and treat others with respect.
  • Internal applicants must be a Coach Counselor or higher Direct Care Position with no less than standard performance and at least one year of experience at Rite of Passage.
  • Staff in this position must have completed Operations and Treatment Essential Subjects prior to placement in this position.
  • Staff in this position must complete Human Resources Essential Subjects within six months of placement in the position.
  • External candidates must have 1-year prior experience working with at-risk youth in a similar position as a Coach Counselor or higher Direct Care position.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for the youth in our program.
  • Provide an atmosphere that is supportive of the needs of the students.
  • Monitor and document student behaviors and activities.
  • Participate and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities.
  • Work in collaboration with other professional staff to establish and/or meet the goals of each student’s treatment plan.
  • Supervise a small team of Youth Mentors and be responsible for their training, mentorship, timesheet management, discipline, and annual evaluations.
