As a Generator Technician, you'll be responsible for keeping standby power systems operating safely and reliably while delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Proven experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing generators
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of electrical systems, generators, transfer switches, control panels, and PLCs
Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
Strong communication and customer service skills
Safety-focused mindset and professional appearance

Nice To Haves

Technical degree or certification in an electrical, mechanical, or related field
Experience with diesel and natural gas generators
Gas piping or fuel system experience a plus (not required)

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on diesel and natural gas generator systems
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system failures
Repair and replace components including: Engines, Alternators, Voltage regulators, Control panels
Conduct load bank testing and performance evaluations
Install new generator systems and replacement units to code
Maintain detailed service and repair records
Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, managers, and installation teams
Maintain company vehicle and inventory
Participate in an on-call rotation
Follow all safety standards, regulations, and best practices
Attend training programs and pursue professional certifications
