About The Position

Waste Connections is hiring experienced, safety-focused CDL Drivers for its Altamonte Springs location, serving the greater Orlando area. The role involves operating a rear-load residential garbage truck on assigned routes, transporting and dumping waste at designated sites, and providing service to residential and commercial customers. Drivers follow route sheets or dispatcher instructions, perform daily vehicle inspections, and keep their vehicles clean and safe. The position pays $23–$25 per hour plus overtime and offers a full benefits package.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL license.
• Clean driving record.
• At least 1 year of local route driving experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in all conditions.
• Strong work ethic and team-player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a garbage truck on assigned routes.
• Follow route sheets or dispatcher instructions.
• Load, transport, and dump waste at designated sites.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, including checking fluids, tires, and safety equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle.
• Provide excellent service to residential and commercial customers.
