About The Position

Waste Connections is looking for safety-focused CDL Drivers who take pride in their work and live out our #1 Value: Safety! We are hiring Residential Garbage Truck Drivers to join our team in New Port Richey, FL. This is a full-time, year-round position with typical workdays of 10-11 hours, Monday-Friday, starting at 5:00 AM, with every 3rd Saturday for additional overtime, totaling 50-55 hours per week. The role involves operating a Residential Garbage Truck on assigned routes, performing a driver-to-driver position where you will be driving and manually servicing routes by tossing trash bins and bags into the truck. You will also be responsible for safely and efficiently collecting residential waste, performing daily pre- and post-trip inspections, and providing courteous and professional service to customers. Frequent climbing in and out of the truck and working outdoors in all weather conditions are required.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL License
• Minimum 2 years of work experience with a stable work history (driving experience preferred)
• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the shift

Nice To Haves

• Garbage truck or labor-intensive driving experience preferred

Responsibilities
