About The Position

WESTERN TITLE DIVISION Job Description: Old Republic Title is seeking a Residential Title Examiner to join our team in office at our Roseville location. In this role, you will review and interpret chains of title for mapped properties using title plant systems and prepare accurate preliminary reports that support the closing process. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented title professional who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys working with a collaborative team. Location: Onsite at our Roseville, CA office location; 8:00-5:00. Monday-Friday.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Title Industry experience
  • Knowledge of title insurance practices, real estate law, and preliminary report preparation
  • Experience working with title plant systems and real property databases
  • Understanding of legal descriptions and property locating techniques
  • Ability to interpret recorded documents affecting title
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a production environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret chains of title from direct starter bases using title plant and property information systems
  • Prepare and issue accurate preliminary title reports
  • Verify all property and tax information for completeness and accuracy
  • Confirm that starter bases are appropriate for the run start date and ensure all subsequent title information is included
  • Ensure all required maps, documents, and instruments are included in customer search packages
  • Review and interpret documents affecting title, including deeds, maps, and recorded instruments
  • Support the Searching Unit and assist with workflow as needed
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and mandatory training
  • Collaborate with team members, management, and customers through email, phone, video, and in-person communication
  • Provide professional, responsive service while meeting production deadlines
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
