About The Position
As a Residential Electrician, you’ll diagnose, repair, install, and maintain residential electrical systems while helping homeowners understand their options and make confident decisions about their homes. This role involves working on various electrical components and ensuring a professional customer experience.
Requirements
- Three years of residential electrical experience requested, but not required
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with residential electrical service, installation, or both
- Working knowledge of electrical codes and safe work practices
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company requirements
- Dependable, self-motivated, and ready to be part of a team
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and participate in ongoing training
- Commitment to quality workmanship and doing the right thing
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
Nice To Haves
- Relevant electrical licenses, certifications, or trade-school training preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical problems
- Complete electrical repairs, replacements, upgrades, and installations
- Work on panels, service upgrades, wiring, lighting, outlets, switches, fixtures, generators, EV chargers, and surge protection
- Identify code and safety concerns and recommend appropriate solutions
- Clearly explain findings and available options to homeowners
- Deliver a professional, respectful customer experience on every call
- Maintain accurate service documentation, estimates, and invoices
- Communicate with dispatch, management, and other members of the team
- Keep your company vehicle clean, organized, and stocked
- Participate in the on-call rotation
- Follow company safety, quality, and electrical-code standards
- Participate in ongoing technical and professional training
