Requirements

  • Michigan Electrical Journeyman or Master license
  • Clean driving record and valid driving license
  • Experienced in providing great service to residential customers
  • Ability to look at the job and see the best solutions for the customer
  • Positive attitude with high integrity

  • strong time management skills
  • ability to work with minimal supervision
  • ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service standards in stressful situations
  • ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
  • self-starter with excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and mechanical aptitude
  • ability to read blueprints
  • extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
  • ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • proficiency in the use of test meters and diagnostic equipment
  • minimum three (3) years of previous electrical experience
  • completion of a formal apprenticeship
  • high school diploma and/or any equivalent of education and experience to meet the essential functions of the job
  • valid driver’s license and remain insurable under our company insurance policy

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical equipment such as generators, panels, and car chargers
  • Run wire and connect to generators, condensing units and boilers
  • Run new wire in retrofit situations
  • Update miscellaneous wiring, switch plate, recessed lighting and outlets
  • Evaluate homes and offices for electrical safety and make safety recommendations to clients as needed
  • Establish trust and rapport with clients
  • Use electrical formulas to determine pipe fill, device, panel size and disconnect
  • Operate in a professional manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite, work area and well inventoried truck
