About The Position

UCP Heartland is seeking compassionate and committed Residential DSP's (Direct Care Professional) for specific shifts. UCP Heartland offers a positive, team driven, work environment. As a DSP (Direct Care Provider), your work will make a difference in people’s lives 365 days a year, supporting people living with disabilities. This position requires female applicants only due to client request. Additionally, 5-7 days of mandatory training at the corporate office (Monday through Friday 8:45 AM - 4:30PM) is required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or its equivalent (GED)
• Valid Drivers’ license
• Clean Driving Record and successfully completes and maintains assigned drivers training
• A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEKEND SHIFT PER WEEKEND
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field
• Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
• Ability to consistently work in a professional, cooperative manner with all Agency clients and personnel
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Computer Proficiency
• RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
• 5-7 DAYS OF MANDATORY TRAINING AT OUR CORPORATE OFFICE Monday through Friday 8:45 AM - 4:30PM

Responsibilities

• Provide physical assistance with daily tasks
• assist with personal hygiene
• facilitate fun activities
• Follow medical orders and administer medications
• provide choices to the clients for their daily activities to provide entertainment and community outings
