About The Position

UCP Heartland is seeking compassionate and committed Residential DSP's (Direct Care Professional) to support people living with disabilities. This role involves providing physical assistance with daily tasks, assisting with personal hygiene, and facilitating fun activities. Key responsibilities include following medical orders, administering medications, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's), performing lifting and transferring tasks (including using ceiling lifts and repositioning in wheelchairs), and providing adaptive transportation. The DSP will also be responsible for shift documentation using Set-Works and general housekeeping. A crucial aspect of the role is to provide choices to clients for their daily activities, ensuring entertainment and community outings. Requirements

  • High School diploma or its equivalent (GED).
  • Valid Drivers’ license
  • Clean Driving Record and successfully completes and maintains assigned drivers training
  • A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEKEND SHIFT PER WEEKEND
  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field
  • Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to consistently work in a professional, cooperative manner with all Agency clients and personnel.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Computer Proficiency
  • Reliable transportation
  • 5-7 days of mandatory training at our Corporate Office Monday through Friday 8:45 AM-4:00PM
