About The Position

The Residential Driver is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, providing prompt and courteous service to customers, and ensuring the proper collection and disposal of residential waste and recyclables in accordance with company policies and procedures. This role requires adherence to assigned routes and schedules with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate heavy-duty trucks and related equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret route sheets and maps.
• Basic familiarity with mobile devices such as tablets or route tracking apps.
• Ability to enter service notes and complete route information electronically.
• Comfort using handheld scanners, GPS applications, and other digital tools as required by operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL Class B license with air brake endorsement.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential collection truck in a safe and efficient manner.
• Collect waste and recyclables from residential customers on assigned routes.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Communicate with dispatch and route supervisors regarding issues or delays.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle.
• Follow all safety guidelines and DOT regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns when necessary.
