Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP)
About The Position
The Arc Erie County NY is a leading nonprofit supporting people with developmental & intellectual disabilities across Western New York, through innovative residential, educational, clinical and employment services. This position involves direct interaction and hands-on support with adults with developmental disabilities. Some days are incredibly rewarding, but the work can also require patience, teamwork, and consistency. The people we support depend on us every day, so we are looking for great staff who are reliable, compassionate, and committed to showing up for them. Requirements
- Valid NYS driver’s license & approved driving record
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Upbeat, positive attitude
Nice To Haves
- Human services experience helpful but not required- we provide paid training
Responsibilities
- Work directly with individuals and provide hands-on direct care
- Assist with daily routines such as meals, activities, and personal care
- Encourage independence and life skills
- Support community outings and recreation
- Be a positive role model and part of a supportive team

- Highest DSP pay in Western NY- $22.89 per hour with no shift or site differential!
