About The Position

Are you seeking to begin or continue your counseling career in the addiction field? Are you interested in working with a close-knit team in a residential setting? If so, apply to be a Residential Counselor today! "The reason I love my position as a counselor at Horizon is the chaos. Coming into work every day and dealing with the fast-paced uncertainty of treating people in crisis is continually exciting and every day holds new experiences. This has taught me to think on my feet as a counselor and to be able to adapt and overcome any situation. The other great thing about working in residential treatment, is being able to see the same patients every day for weeks at a time. Instead of leaving a session and saying, ‘we will come back to this in 2 weeks’, I can leave a session and say to a patient, ‘journal about that tonight and we can talk in the morning.’" -Michael L., Senior Counselor What will your day look like?
