About The Position

Horizon is seeking a dedicated Residential Counselor to join their close-knit team in a residential setting, focusing on the addiction field. This role offers a fast-paced and dynamic environment where you will work with individuals in crisis, providing them with the support and treatment they need. The position emphasizes a team-based work environment with a seamless onboarding experience to ensure success. You will have the opportunity to see patients daily for extended periods, allowing for consistent progress and impactful therapeutic relationships.

Requirements

• CASAC (Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor) required.
• Master’s degree in a program that will grant licensure in the state of New York required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans that identify patients’ needs and strengths.
• Provide individual and group counseling.
• Participate in weekly one-on-ones with your manager, as well as team meetings to discuss cases.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other service providers and family members.
• Maintain patient records consistent with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
• Perform other duties as defined by the Program Director.
