About The Position

Vesta, Inc. is a financially sound, not-for-profit mental health organization Maryland, providing comprehensive behavioral healthcare. We're currently seeking a passionate individual to join our Forestville Region's Residential Program. As a Residential Counselor, you'll play a vital role in assisting individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness. Your responsibilities will include coordinating client care and daily activities, such as meal preparation, household chores, grooming, and medication monitoring. You'll provide essential oversight in our residential homes, working closely with senior clients who have various diagnoses and behavior disorders, alongside somatic care needs.

Requirements

  • Ability to drive a 15-passenger van and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Experience using eHR for daily notes
  • Must pass background check and drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or 3 years of experience in mental health preferred
  • Experience providing skills training in residential or day program settings

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating client care and daily activities, such as meal preparation, household chores, grooming, and medication monitoring.
  • Provide essential oversight in our residential homes.
  • Working closely with senior clients who have various diagnoses and behavior disorders, alongside somatic care needs.
