About The Position

Riverside Community Care is seeking a Residential Counselor to join their team. This role involves providing person-centered supports to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, autism, or acquired brain injury. The goal is to help individuals learn daily living skills, build meaningful relationships, and become valued members of their community. As a Residential Counselor, you will be part of a supportive team that assists individuals in maintaining their physical and emotional health, fostering relationships, developing independence, and participating in community activities. The role combines support, supervision, coaching, and companionship, with every interaction rooted in respect for each individual's uniqueness. You will encourage residents to identify their strengths, explore new opportunities, and actualize their hopes and dreams. The residences are in welcoming neighborhood settings, typically housing 3-5 people with private bedrooms and shared living spaces. Staff are available 24/7, with schedules tailored to individual needs. Every shift offers the chance to build relationships, see progress, and be part of something meaningful. Relief opportunities are available in the Woburn area.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to assist in the lifting of an adult person.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
