About The Position

Eliot is seeking a Residential Counselor for its Developmental Disabilities division. The residential programs provide person-centered services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, offering support and opportunities to enrich their lives, develop social and daily living skills, and build social and community connections. The Residential Counselor assists with the day-to-day operations of a group home serving people with developmental disabilities and brain injuries. The role supports community integration, helps maintain a safe and supportive environment, and assists with implementing Individual Support Plans.

The job posting lists two schedule options: Saturday and Sunday, 12 p.m.–8 p.m. (16 hours), or Tuesday through Saturday, 3 p.m.–11 p.m. (40 hours). The hourly rate is $19.50.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Experience working with adults with brain injuries or developmental disabilities.
• Ability to drive the residence van.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and a personally owned vehicle that can be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of a group home serving individuals with developmental disabilities and brain injuries.
• Promote community integration by supporting access to resources, fostering relationships, and reducing stigma.
• Ensure a safe, supportive environment and implement crisis interventions when needed.
• Assist in implementing Individual Support Plans and maintain accurate, timely documentation.
