About The Position

Horizon Village is seeking a Residential Counselor to join their close-knit team in a residential setting, focusing on the addiction field. This role offers a supportive, team-based work environment with a seamless onboarding experience. The position involves conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing treatment plans, providing individual and group counseling, participating in team meetings, coordinating with other service providers and family members, and maintaining patient records. The role is situated within Horizon Village's residential facilities dedicated to the total care of adults with substance use disorders.

Requirements

• CASAC (Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor) required.
• Master’s degree in a program that will grant licensure in the state of New York required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans that identify patients’ needs and strengths.
• Provide individual and group counseling.
• Participate in weekly one-on-ones with your manager, as well as team meetings to discuss cases.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other service providers and family members.
• Maintain patient records consistent with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
• Perform other duties as defined by the Program Director.
