RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR/RELIEF
About The Position

NFI North provides mental health and behavioral support services to people facing life challenges. We design diverse and innovative programs that provide a high level of structure within communities of care when a person or family is in need. Our goal is for people to grow, have hope, thrive in their community and feel like they belong. NFI North is currently looking for Relief Direct Care Counselors to work in our Summit View Program, located in Bangor, Maine. We have an immediate opening for Relief Residential Counselors/Behavioral Health Professionals in our Residential and In-home Treatment Program serving youth ages 10–20.
Requirements
- One year working with youth
- Strong organization and communication skills are necessary
- Ability to assume and delegate responsibilities and exercise decision making is also required
Nice To Haves
- Current BHP or CRMA certification
- Bachelors Degree in human services, social work, psychology, sociology or equivalent
- Flexible, energetic and creative
- Desire to be part of a team of professionals
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for participants
- Supervision of participants
- Crisis intervention
- Case management/advocacy
- All related documentation
- Provide instruction, support and assist families with challenges they may encounter within their own homes or in their communities.
