About The Position
The Residential Counselor provides direct and indirect services to both individuals and groups of members served. Telecare's mission is to deliver excellent and effective behavioral health services that engage individuals in recovering their health, hopes, and dreams. Telecare continues to advance cultural diversity, humility, equity, and inclusion at all levels of our organization by hiring mental health peers, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, veterans, and all belief systems. Serenity House is a 13 bed, short-term intensive Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) program serving adult residents of San Mateo County who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The program will operate 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Clients may be referred from the hospital, jail, community, or self-referred. The goal of the program is to help clients experiencing acute psychiatric distress avoid inpatient hospitalization and emergency services; regain their stability; and begin working toward longer-term recovery goals.
Requirements
- High School graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent
- At least one (1) year of direct service experience in a mental health setting
- Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
- Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
