Residential Coach (Direct Care Position)
About The Position
Crossroads Community, Inc. (CCI) is a nonprofit organization established in 1984, dedicated to providing behavioral health rehabilitation services to residents across the five mid-shore counties on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Our mission is to empower individuals with behavioral health needs by teaching skills and connecting them with resources, enabling them to achieve recovery and lead satisfying, productive lives. The residential schedule is structured to help clients achieve their goals in daily living skills, medication self-administration, self-care, wellness, and community involvement. We are seeking individuals who can equip clients with the tools and support necessary to overcome challenges associated with severe mental health diagnoses, facilitating their recovery and successful lives.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent and the desire to help individuals with behavioral health needs
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record to support insurability by the agency’s insurance carrier
- Work related use of a vehicle carrying minimum of 100/300/50 liability insurance
- Pass the agency’s background check
Responsibilities
- Assist clients in achieving their goals and to gain the skills of daily living, self-administration of medications, self-care and wellness, and community involvement
- Assist our clients in building a tool box to address the challenges and barriers faced when living with a severe mental health diagnosis'
