About The Position

Help make the dream of homeownership a reality as a Residential Mortgage Closing Specialist. In this detail-focused role, you will keep mortgage closings accurate, timely, and customer-centered by preparing closing disclosures and final documents, coordinating with borrowers, lenders, closing agents, and third-party vendors, and ensuring each file meets applicable investor, secondary market, regulatory, and internal loan policy requirements. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six to twelve months of residential loan processing, mortgage closing, loan operations, banking operations, or related training preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and remain accurate in a high-volume environment
  • Strong customer service skills with professional verbal and written communication
  • Comfort using standard desktop applications and learning job-specific systems

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of banking, residential lending, regulatory, or compliance practices preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate initial closing disclosures within established deadlines
  • Coordinate final residential mortgage closing documents and closing package delivery
  • Work directly with borrowers, Residential Loan Officers, closing agents, underwriters, appraisers, realtors, and vendors to collect final documentation and answer questions
  • Confirm and schedule closing dates while maintaining clear communication with all parties involved
  • Review closing agent data, verify invoices and fees, and ensure documentation is complete and accurate
  • Identify and resolve closing-related discrepancies, including documenting any required cure amounts
  • Verify taxes are current and collect taxes due within required timeframes
  • Manage a closing pipeline by prioritizing time-sensitive disclosures and closing deadlines
