The Residential Case Worker will supervise program participants to ensure their physical, emotional, and psychological safety. This role involves implementing elements of positive youth development to help youth make informed decisions and build resiliency. The position requires consistently setting and enforcing rules and expectations throughout programming. The case worker will facilitate daily one-on-one check-ins, family meetings, and follow-up communications to identify needs and update individualized service plans. Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills are essential for responding to 24-hour crisis calls and supporting residents, families, and community members. The role includes using assessment skills and screening tools to establish goodness of fit and make appropriate recommendations and referrals. The case worker will support youth in enhancing their education, vocation, relationships, communication, independent living skills, physical health, and mental health. Facilitating and supervising structured activities that promote the 8 C’s of positive youth development is a key responsibility. Maintaining and updating daily documentation, client case notes, and file maintenance is required. Daily facility maintenance checks, including inspection, cleaning, and disinfecting, are also part of the role. The case worker will prepare healthy and nutritious meals with residents and drop-in clients, engaging them in the cooking process. Additionally, the role involves assisting youth with scheduling and providing transportation to medical appointments and other required services.
