Reporting to the Women’s Services Leadership Team, Residential Care Workers provide client and facility support. These positions require a commitment to a client-centred philosophy and approach to the development and support of Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) programs and client services. The Residential Care Worker will demonstrate the ability to communicate respectfully and positively with clients and staff, present themselves in an approachable and friendly manner, and demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for client-centred care with empathy and compassion. They are committed to fostering a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for clients, and exhibit the ability to respond to client requests in a responsible, timely, and flexible manner. They demonstrate the ability to consider the needs of clients, other staff, and the organization when making decisions. They show enthusiasm for ongoing professional development and engage in reciprocal learning. Recognizing the importance of regular individual and team supervision meetings, they demonstrate active listening, are coachable, and respond positively to supervision. They possess a strong commitment to personal and professional ethics, integrity, and responsibility. They can manage their own emotions and strong feelings, maintain calm and tactful composure under challenging circumstances, and think clearly and stay focused under pressure. They demonstrate a commitment to the agency's mission, vision, values, and objectives.
