About The Position

Legacy Behavioral Health is seeking a Residential Care Specialist to join their team in Valdosta, Ga. This role provides services to consumers with a Mental Health, Substance Abuse, or Dual Diagnosis in a 24/7 community-based residential program. The specialist will offer skills training and education on daily living skills, provide case management services, assist with transportation, and monitor medication adherence. A significant part of the role involves documenting consumer progress in treatment. This position requires computer knowledge and extensive documentation, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Valid GA driver’s license with less than 5 points.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide skills training and education on daily living skills such as budgeting, performing household chores, personal hygiene, social skills, and meal preparation.
• Provide case management services such as linking to community resources.
• Assist with transportation.
• Observe consumers take medications as prescribed.
• Monitor and document consumer progress in treatment using designated format and within established time frames.
• Perform extensive documentation.
