About The Position

The Health & Wellness Coordinator is an integral member of the leadership team at YES USA, a provider of immersive English language programs for international teenagers across the United States. Our residential summer camps combine language learning, cultural exchange, and structured activities to create a dynamic and supportive environment for students from around the world. This is a seasonal, full -time residential position. Beyond medical responsibilities, this role is deeply integrated into camp operations and requires flexibility, strong teamwork, and a proactive approach to problem -solving across departments.

Requirements

  • Must meet New Jersey Department of Health requirements for residential camp health staff, including one of the following:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), licensed by the New Jersey Board of Nursing
  • Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), paramedic, first responder, or advanced first aid provider with certification from an approved agency
  • Certified Athletic Trainer with a valid credential from the Board of Certification (BOC)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem -solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high -pressure situations
  • Flexibility, teamwork, and willingness to take on a dynamic, multi -functional role within camp operations
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children or teens strongly preferred
  • Experience working with international clients strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic medical care to campers and staff
  • Remain on -call for emergencies and respond promptly to incidents across camp
  • Assess injuries/illnesses and determine need for external care (urgent care, ER, etc.); accompany campers when necessary
  • Communicate with parents/guardians regarding medical concerns and treatments as needed
  • Review camper and staff medical forms prior to arrival
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records, especially camper allergies
  • Oversee and manage first aid supplies across camp (including kits for staff, activities, and off -site trips)
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and restock supplies as needed
  • Work closely with the Camp Director and leadership team to support a safe and healthy camp environment
  • Participate in daily camp operations, meetings, and planning
  • Attend and support evening programs and special events as needed
  • Collaborate with management on broader camp operations and logistics
  • During lower -demand medical periods, actively support other departments as needed (e.g., supervision, activities, arrivals/departures, administrative support)
  • Step in to assist or temporarily cover roles across camp to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Maintain a team -first mindset, contributing wherever needed to support the overall camp experience
