About The Position

Since 1946, The Village Network has been dedicated to providing compassionate treatment to support the behavioral, physical, and emotional health of children and families. We specialize in creating dynamic treatment plans tailored to each child's needs, aiming to transition them from disruptive situations to stable environments. Our services encompass community-based programs, residential treatment, and treatment foster care across central and northeast Ohio and West Virginia. We utilize Collaborative Problem Solving and The Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics to address the unique needs of youth and their families. This role offers a 4-day work week for residential direct care staff, providing three days off each week. Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Diploma/GED required.
• 3+ years of behavioral health experience or Bachelors in Human Services related field desired.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License and maintains a driving record that allows the individual to be insurable.
• Ability to use a computer; proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to comply with The Village Network requirements for using restraints including sufficient strength and completion of extensive training.
• Ability to handle bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds independently.
• Must be able to remain alert to problems, needs, or emergencies that might arise on any shift, maintaining a safe environment for the clients.
• Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company.

• Bachelors in Human Services related field desired.

Responsibilities

• Assists in transportation needs when not temporarily assigned to other program needs.
• Provides behavior management in assigned areas, keeps clients on task, and documents behavior modification system.
• Assists teacher/staff with the daily operation of the assigned area.
• Assists with attendance and communication with parents and referring agencies.
• Provides transportation if necessary.
• Oversees mealtime and breaks.
• Provides crisis and/or individual counseling and groups for youth under supervision, coordinated with the teacher and/or Clinical Therapist.
• Provides psych educational groups for youth, selecting curriculum based on group needs in coordination with teachers and/or Clinical Therapists.
• Assists in the behavioral management of the residential campus when not assigned to other program needs.
• Performs other duties as required.
