About The Position

Residential Assistants work as part of a treatment team to facilitate daily living activities in support of clients' recovery journey and work to ensure clients' safety. Residential Assistants work to ensure clients' safety and model and promote positive recovery behaviors. May provide transportation to appointments or 12-step meetings. STNAs are welcome—your caregiving experience is valued! Residential Assistants model and promote positive recovery behaviors. May provide transportation to appointments using company vehicle.

Requirements

Combination of experience and education normally represented by a High School Diploma or equivalent with one year's experience in chemical dependency treatment program.
Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, provide copy of driver’s license, and are subject to a Moving Vehicle Report (MVR) check through the Department of Motor Vehicles annually.
Any MVR grade of “unacceptable” is not permitted to operate a personal/company vehicle on behalf of Catholic Charities.
Must be able to form good working and therapeutic relationships.
Must have good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to take direction well and respectfully respond to the needs of others.
Must have good computer skills and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.

Must be flexible and willing to be a team player in assisting program implementation (including shift coverage).

Responsibilities

Help clients in their journey through recovery.
Accompany clients through recovery activities.
Interact with clients in a variety of ways throughout their day - from meals to free time, recreation, pro-social activities, transportation to appointments, and 12-step meetings in company vehicles.
