About The Position

Are you a compassionate, steady leader who believes in the power of structure, relationships, and trauma-informed care? We are seeking a Residential Assistant Program Manager to help guide and support youth ages 11–18 who have experienced trauma, while mentoring a dedicated team in a therapeutic residential setting. In this role, you’ll make a real difference - supporting young people as they build safety, stability, and essential life skills, while helping staff grow into confident, effective caregivers. Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a child-caring or residential setting
  • Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field
  • Experience with trauma-informed, recovery-based, or behaviorally focused treatment programs
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach and motivate a team
  • Comfort with documentation and basic technology (Microsoft Office and related systems)
  • Flexibility to assist with on-call needs, weekends, and holidays during emergencies

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a team leader within the program and act in the absence of the Program Manager when needed
  • Model and reinforce trauma-informed, therapeutic intervention strategies
  • Supervise, mentor, train, and support Youth Support Specialists
  • Participate in employee performance evaluations and ongoing staff development
  • Oversee SCM incidents, providing debriefing, coaching, and follow-up training to promote safety for youth and staff
  • Assist with treatment planning to address the emotional, behavioral, spiritual, and physical needs of each youth
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of resident progress, incidents, concerns, and emergencies
  • Lead shift-change meetings to ensure clear communication and continuity of care
