About The Position

We are seeking a mission-driven Assistant Program Manager to play a key role in helping children build essential life skills in a therapeutic, supportive environment. Shift: 4 days / week: Sunday 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, Monday - Wednesday 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM A Day in the Life You will play a crucial role in overseeing the Youth Support Specialists and ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents. You will provide guidance, support and leadership to the team to maintain a structured and therapeutic living environment. How This Position Contributes to our Mission Functions as a team leader within the program and in the absence of the Program Manager. This includes modeling of appropriate intervention strategies to ensure interventions are therapeutic, supportive, and effective.Supervise, mentor, train, and develop Youth Support Specialists. Participate in evaluation of employee performance.Supervise all SCM incidents as they occur, provide debriefing, coaching, and training to Youth Support Specialists as needed to maintain optimal safety for residents and staff. Assists in treatment planning to ensure appropriate services are available to address the emotional, behavioral, spiritual, and physical needs of the client.Responsible for documenting resident progress, including any negative behaviors expressed, resident concerns, significant incidents, unusual occurrences and/or emergency events in a timely and accurate manner.Lead house shift change meeting to ensure that adequate planning is done before shift changes occur.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum one year experience in a child-caring facility required
  • Valid driver's license and clear driving record required
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
  • Must be available for on-call duties during emergencies, as well as have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays when necessary

Nice To Haves

  • bachelor's degree in a human service field preferred
  • Experience with recovery-based treatment plans and behaviorally oriented programs preferred

Responsibilities
