About The Position

North Suffolk is looking for Assistant Program Managers to join our team! As an Assistant Residential Program Manager, you will be responsible for working directly with individuals and staff to ensure that the needs of the Individuals living in the group home are met in all areas of service. You will supervise the house basic systems such as treatment planning, community integration, medication administration, laundry, shopping, menu/meal planning and the maintenance and safety of the group home.

Requirements

  • Human Service experience, specifically with populations with severe & persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorder required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must obtain Massachusetts MAP & CPR/First Aide certifications within five (5) continuous months of hire (training provided).
  • Valid Mass driver’s license required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • With the Program Manager, assist with recruitment, training, supervising, evaluating and facilitate progressive discipline as needed for staff.
  • Engage with individuals in the group home and partner with them to improve their health and wellness, achieve symptom stabilization and self-management, develop and/or restore skills impacted by mental illness and live a self-directed life.
  • Assist people with psychiatric and substance use disorders to identify personal priorities, preferences, strengths, and interests in order to help them establish goals that support a life in recovery.
  • Liaison with families, guardians, DMH and other outside service providers.
  • In conjunction with the integrated treatment team implement Safety Plans and Crisis Prevention and Response Plans in order to help prevent and mitigate risk factors.
  • Provide transportation for Individuals as needed.
  • Position requires on-call coverage and some evening and weekend work as needed.
  • Position requires some local travel to attend to staff meetings and trainings, client functions/appointments and medical treatments.
