About The Position

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, part-time Residential Aide to join our team! Our mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn how to live a positive, sober lifestyle while empowering them to make changes that will lead to successful, independent living.

Requirements

  • Ability to observe, identify, document, & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern.
  • Understanding the field of addiction, mental health & recovery.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.
  • Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift.
  • Conduct regular "rounds" around the entire property.
  • Ensuring the daily program / schedule is being followed.
  • Assisting with new intakes, completing room searches, monitoring mealtimes, etc.
  • Observing & documenting all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications.
  • Monitoring & observing supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled.
  • Communicating in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors.
  • Keeping all program staff members informed of all clients' current challenges or behavioral issues.
  • Providing accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner.
  • Attending team meetings as necessary / scheduled.
  • Quickly adapting to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments.
  • Ability to deescalate.
  • Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff.
  • Understanding & abiding by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times.
