Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in mental health, substance use treatment, social services, or supporting individuals experiencing homelessness required.
  • If in recovery from alcohol or substance use, at least one (1) year of continuous sobriety is required.
  • Valid California Driver’s License, clean driving record, and insurability under agency policy required.
  • Successful completion of Live Scan background check required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining accountability and structure within a residential environment.

  • CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations within an interim housing setting serving individuals with complex needs.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident concerns.
  • Assist with daily living activities and promote independence while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
  • Support meal service and structured program activities as assigned.
  • Monitor the facility to ensure safety and order, conduct regular rounds, and respond appropriately to emergencies.
  • Document incidents, injuries, and unusual occurrences in accordance with agency protocol.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, and laundry facilities.
  • Complete daily logs, shift reports, and communicate relevant information to oncoming staff and the Program Manager.
  • Answer phones, greet visitors, assist with meetings and recreational activities.
  • Monitor client self-administration of prescribed medications.
