Residential Advocate (PT) – 7am–3pm
About The Position
Recovering Hope Treatment Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join their team as a Residential Advocate. This part-time role, up to 16 hours per week, focuses on supporting women and families in their recovery from substance use disorders. The position offers comprehensive training, making experience unnecessary. The Residential Advocate plays a crucial role in creating a safe and nurturing environment by offering emotional support, facilitating recovery activities, and assisting clients with daily living tasks. The role also involves ensuring safety and accountability through room checks, client transportation, and building security, as well as maintaining client records and assisting with administrative tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Comfortable with computers and basic tech
- Ability to frequently communicate with employees, parents, clients and other individuals with key relationships, receiving and providing accurate information in writing or verbally.
- Ability to frequently reach above shoulder height to reach necessary items, including supplies, medications, etc.
- Ability to frequently complete repetitive tasks.
- Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. from floor to waist height.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate recovery activities and support clients with daily living tasks.
- Engage with clients, their children, and families with compassion.
- Conduct room checks, transport clients, and maintain building security.
- Keep client records updated and handle essential administrative tasks.
- Assist with intake, discharge, and visiting hours.
