About The Position

Paradigm Works Group Inc. and the Hartford Job Corps Center are seeking dedicated and reliable Residential Advisors to join their team. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and structured living environment for residential students and supporting their personal and academic growth.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of one year experience working with teens or young adults
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant databases
• Mature, dependable, and well-organized
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

• Post-secondary education preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in the residential program during overnight hours
• Foster a positive, respectful community that promotes student retention, achievement, and independence
• Guide students in developing key life skills such as: Waking up and preparing for the day, Maintaining personal hygiene and living areas, Time management and punctuality for class, Completing homework and laundry, Engaging in recreational and group activities
• Use sound judgment and discretion to resolve student concerns and conflicts
• Maintain detailed case notes and documentation of student interactions and behavior
• Participate in seasonal cleaning and dormitory updates
• Serve as a positive role model at all times
