About The Position
The Residential Advisor monitors progress and provides developmental guidance to residents participating in residential treatment programs. This position assists residents in adapting and learning new social, emotional and intellectual behaviors as part of a medically prescribed psychosocial treatment plan. This position also manages the therapeutic milieu, to assure the safety and well-being of the residents, families, and caregivers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Service, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related allied health field.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year Social Services experience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor progress and provide developmental guidance to residents.
- Assist residents in adapting and learning new social, emotional, and intellectual behaviors.
- Manage the therapeutic milieu to ensure the safety and well-being of residents, families, and caregivers.
- Participate in teamwork, cooperation, quality assessment, and evaluation.
- Assist with patient, family, and staff education.
- Utilize therapeutic interventions and demonstrate clinical competence.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Assume responsibility for professional self-development.
