About The Position

This is a full-time, exempt Resident position within the Clinical Sciences Department, focusing on Diagnostic Imaging. The role involves supporting academic departments as an instructor, pursuing a Master of Science degree in Diagnostic Imaging, and contributing to the educational program. The goal is to develop as a chiropractic educator, academician, radiologist, and clinician.

Requirements

Doctor of Chiropractic degree from a Council on Chiropractic Education accredited institution.
Eligible for N.Y. chiropractic license, which must be obtained within a reasonable period after hiring.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Eligible for admission to M.S. program.
Desire to teach and learn.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Excellent visual acuity to interpret imaging studies.
Ability to give and receive constructive criticism.
Ability to work well with a team.
Ability to perform assigned duties.
Excellent time management skills with timely completion of all responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with PC computing systems and MS Office is valuable.

Responsibilities

Assist and/or lead in courses, including development of syllabi, teaching materials, assessment instruments, and clinical experiences.
Perform clinical duties as assigned.
Ensure quality control of the diagnostic imaging laboratory in the radiology lab.
Supervise diagnostic imaging studies in the radiology lab.
Conduct clerk orientations at the Campus Health Center.
Evaluate clerk performance in the acquisition of diagnostic imaging studies.
Interpret imaging studies and write diagnostic imaging reports.
Maintain Northeast College diagnostic imaging teaching files.
Attend observational rounds at off-campus imaging centers, clinics, and hospital facilities.
Relate graduate coursework to Northeast College needs.
Attend a minimum of six Faculty Development hours per academic year.
Mentor students.
Serve on appropriate committees.
Assist in clinical and educational outcomes assessment.
Participate in department and faculty meetings.
Complete graduate-level coursework toward a master's degree.
Prepare and submit a minimum of two articles to a peer-reviewed journal or similar activity.
Complete research design, management, data collection, writing, and defense of a master's thesis.
