About The Position

Finning Canada is seeking Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics (Red Seal) to become a Resident Technician in the Quesnel area. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of a variety of Caterpillar general line, forestry, and mining equipment in a field environment, including ultra-class Caterpillar equipment. The position offers an opportunity to work with major industry players and requires a customer-focused, self-motivated individual who thrives on challenges and values hard work and integrity. Requirements

• Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
• Valid class 5 driver's license with a clear driver's abstract
• Dedication to safety
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with limited supervision
• Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic, and Emissions systems
• Transmission or Hydraulic testing experience
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
• Must reside in Quesnel or surrounding area

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of the Caterpillar product line
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience
• Power generation experience

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment and perform equipment repairs (possibility of remote locations)
• Interface with customers, products, and sales support
• Work with the Supervisor on various tasks
• Provide support with reference to on-site safety requirements
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
• Various related duties as required
