About The Position
CooperRiis is a therapeutic healing community located in Mill Spring, NC. We are a Smoke/Drug/Alcohol Free Facility. This is a part-time Direct Care position supporting residents in their recovery plans and goals. The role involves assisting with daily activities, crisis management, documentation, and transportation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience working with adults with mental health challenges
- At least 21 years of age
- Current driver’s license
- Acceptable driving record to be covered by company insurance
Responsibilities
- Helps lead recreational, social, and cultural activities
- Encourages participation and can facilitate other activities as needed for residents who aren’t participating in the planned activities
- Support residents in their recovery plans and goals
- Fill in for our Lodge Advisors as needed
- Provides support in crisis management
- Completing documentation
- Assists with procedures such as urine drug screens, breathalyzer, and medication administration
- Transports and accompanies residents on community-based trips, outings, recreational, social, and cultural activities
