About The Position

TMH’s Resident Support Specialist provides support to clients in our three supportive housing programs, all of which are located in Minneapolis, on short notice.

Requirements

• Ability to work at any one of our three locations in Minneapolis
• Ability to work shifts on short notice
• Ability to work from 4:00pm to 12:30am OR from 11:55pm to 8:30am

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience supporting adults with mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and/or long-term homelessness preferred

Responsibilities

• Establishes supportive and motivational relationships with residents.
• Observe residents for changes in health symptoms; perform behavioral management interventions; and de-escalate mental health crises.
• Perform delegated nursing services, including medication assistance, as unlicensed personnel under the direction of the nursing staff.
• Promote participation in community activities; and provide support and prompts that encourage socialization.
• Support the cleanliness of common areas and bedrooms and complete housekeeping duties.
• Ensure residents and their guests are following site guidelines to ensure the facility is safe and secure.
• Collaborate with other staff members, consultants, interns and/or volunteers.
