Resident Support Aide
About The Position
Ensure that all aspects of the residents’ personal care and service plan are implemented while assuring that the resident is treated with dignity and respect, assisting each resident to be as independent and self-sufficient as possible. Our living center is a licensed Home for the Aged in Michigan, dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to our residents. Our team is carefully selected and trained to support each individual’s physical and cognitive well-being, with a strong focus on dignity, respect, and meaningful daily living. We are proudly operated by Heritage Property Management, a fourth-generation, Michigan-based family business. Requirements
- Minimum of 17 years of age.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to pass the state mandated criminal background screening.
Nice To Haves
- Caregiving experience or certification preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Competency Evaluated Nursing Assistant (CENA), Home Health Aide
Responsibilities
- Deliver care based on individualized service plans
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, mobility, dining)
- Respond promptly to resident requests and call lights
- Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to supervisor
- Document care and services as directed
- Assist residents with meals and life enrichment activities as needed
