About The Position

We are seeking a Resident Services Receptionist to join our team in Tysons, Virginia, for a full‑time 11:00 AM–7:00 PM shift, with weekend and holiday availability required. This highly visible role serves as the welcoming presence for all residents, guests, and visitors to the community, delivering polished, attentive service in a refined senior living environment where exceptional customer service and resident safety come first. As part of a collaborative, self‑directed team, the Resident Services Receptionist professionally manages in‑person, phone, and digital inquiries; supports resident and guest check‑in and check‑out; oversees key and key‑card management; monitors security footage and building entrances; and ensures smooth front desk operations. The role also includes safely handling resident mail and packages, coordinating transportation and service requests, maintaining accurate records and incident logs, supporting emergency response systems, and collaborating with Resident Engagement to bring meaningful programming to life. Strong computer proficiency is required to navigate systems, and communication tools while consistently creating elevated, thoughtful experiences through Nextraordinary behaviors.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to be part of a self-directed team
  • Valid drivers’ license and excellent driving record
  • Service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task
  • MS Office proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptional customer service to all residents, guests, and visitors of the Mather
  • Maintains systems for secure storage and distribution of keys and key cards used by concierge and other experience centers
  • Provides administrative support for the update, storage and distribution of directories, Concierge handbook, safety and emergency procedures, parking assignments, training materials and participation, and other documents necessary to provide exceptional and efficient concierge services
  • Listens to resident concerns and requests; guides to existing solutions, communicates issues to appropriate experience centers; follow up to ensure positive and meaningful experiences for residents
  • Maintains system to receive, record, store and distribute packages
  • Coordinates resident requests for portfolio of concierge services, including transportation reservations; monitors resident app dashboard and responds quickly to needs
  • Maintains daily check log, service log and other pertinent records
  • Completes incident reports for emergencies; and feeds forward non-emergency information to to assure efficient communication between concierge, supervisors and other experience centers
  • Ensures proper programming, resetting and functioning of emergency pendants; responds to pendant alarms; and monitors building entrances for safety/security
  • Coordinates guest suite process to ensure exceptional experiences for guests including reservations, check-in and check-out, key cards and housekeeping; maintains calendars; sends reminders to experience centers and creates billing summaries for accounting
  • Collaborates with Resident Engagement team as assigned, including supporting movie screenings; selects films and orders DVDs, maintains calendar and prepares promotional materials, ensures provisions for hearing devices, gathers resident input and provides impromptu screenings such as public television offerings.
