This role coordinates general business office activities for an apartment community, serving as the first point of contact for residents and families. The position involves addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and planning social and recreational programs to enhance the resident experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED required
  • 1-2 Years of General Customer Service and resident retention - Required

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for residents, communicating with them and their families regarding questions or concerns, and taking steps to resolve issues or referring them to appropriate employees.
  • Prepare service requests, collaborate with service contractors to ensure jobs are handled appropriately, and assist with move-in and move-out inspections for residents.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of leasing policies and procedures, perform functions related to leasing and lease renewal, and ensure effective and appropriate implementation in accordance with Corporate Office and Fair Housing policies and procedures. Act as the property liaison between residents and all property personnel, including the corporate department, and assist with legal property issues and prepare legal demands.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of company policies, applicable local, state, and Federal laws and regulations, affordable housing programs, and other applicable policies and procedures to ensure compliance while performing tasks.
  • Manage monthly social events within the social budget, act as the social media ambassador for the property, and ensure social posts are managed and posted according to policy. Manage the resident experience and Active building and Kingsley Survey system responses regularly, responding to all inquiries within the timeline allotted per policy guidelines.
  • Perform administrative functions including answering and screening telephone calls, typing and proofreading materials, preparing routine correspondence, scheduling appointments, screening and distributing incoming mail, maintaining files and records, scheduling meeting rooms, and ensuring deposits are paid and contracts are signed.
  • Assist with all resident retention and renewals, provide and report weekly updates on renewals, and meet or exceed the monthly budgeted renewal closing ratio.
  • Assist with overseeing front desk and leasing employees, including scheduling, training, and maintaining the quality of customer service and the experience they create.
