Requirements

  • 1+ years of social work experience (preferred)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, resourceful, and collaborative mindset

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Spend 60% (3 days/week) at Reserve at Hollywood in Atlanta, GA; Spend 40% (2 days/week) at Reserve at Douglasville in Douglasville, GA; and 1 time quarterly at Gardens at Harvest Point in Augusta, GA (spend 1-2 nights there).
  • Arrange training sessions between residents and service providers
  • Partnering with local financial counselors and agencies to provide service
  • Coordinate with specific service providers, either through direct outreach or referrals, for the provision of social services that are outlined in the supportive services plan
  • Job Training/Placement: Partner with county agencies to identify and link residents to available resources that offer needed job training classes.
  • Education: Link residents with local schools for continued education or GED classes
  • After school/training programs: Partner with local schools and other agencies to set up on-site tutoring programs in community center.
  • Mentoring programs: Partner with local Big Brothers/Big Sisters or other groups to create a mentoring program for children living in the community.
  • Develop and update a Resource Directory for residents
  • Reporting: Provide monthly reports outlining performance objectives and maintaining resident participation documentation
  • Other duties as assigned.
