About The Position

The Resident Services Assistant plays a key role in fostering a vibrant community atmosphere by planning and implementing programs and activities that enhance residents' physical, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet EveryAge's automobile insurance coverage requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an assisted living, skilled nursing, senior living, or related healthcare setting preferred.
  • One year of experience coordinating recreational, wellness, or activity programming for older adults.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Passion for serving seniors and creating meaningful opportunities that foster connection, purpose, and joy.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a diverse calendar of recreational, educational, cultural, and social activities designed to support residents' overall quality of life.
  • Create opportunities for entertainment, exercise, creative expression, relaxation, and meaningful social interaction.
  • Encourage resident participation and engagement through programs that promote inclusion, independence, and community involvement.
  • Organize and lead both on-site and off-site activities, outings, and special events to enhance resident experiences and well-being.
  • Assist residents with day-to-day concerns by coordinating appropriate resources and support services.
  • Welcome and orient new residents, helping them become connected and involved within the Piedmont Crossing community.
  • Develop and maintain monthly activity calendars, newsletters, schedules, phone lists, and other resident communications.
  • Assist the Director with volunteer recruitment, volunteer programming, and related community engagement initiatives.
  • Transport residents to activities and appointments as needed while maintaining a safe and positive experience.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and auto liability insurance in accordance with EveryAge and insurance carrier requirements.
