About The Position

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Resident Project Representative to join our Water team in Loogootee, IN or Santa Claus, IN. In this role, you will be responsible for observing construction activities on water/wastewater projects—verifying that work is built safely, accurately, and in accordance with approved plans and specifications. This role is field-based and focuses on protecting public health, environmental resources, and community systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of 3 years of related construction observation experience required.
• Knowledge of construction techniques and ability to comprehend construction documents.
• Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating effectively with project teams and assisting senior team members with complex projects.
• Strong communication and mathematics skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in Engineering Science, Construction Management, or related technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and document water/wastewater construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications, and approved submittals.
• Verify quality of completed work through field measurements, computations, and monitoring of contractor quality control efforts.
• Identify nonconforming work and support evaluation of corrective actions to ensure acceptability.
• Review contractor payment applications, change orders, and quantities of completed work to support progress payments.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, and project teams while maintaining clear reports and accurate project records.
