About The Position

The Resident Monitor is responsible for overseeing the custody, security, control, and maintenance of the facility and its residents.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to work with individuals and groups in both routine and emergencies.
One year of paid work experience.

Responsibilities

Monitors residents by observing, documenting, and ensuring accountability within the facility and in the community through enforcement of rules, responsibilities, and restrictions.
Provides control and documentation for transactions involving money, subsistence, medications, first-aid supplies, mail, visitors, accountability checks, and telephone calls.
Assists Counselors with resident programming, which may include installing electronic monitoring equipment, visiting residents at home and work, and conducting alcohol and urine surveillance testing.
Conducts and documents scheduled internal and external inspections of the premises to maintain resident health, safety, and accountability.
Ensures that physical plant safety and sanitation standards are maintained.
Maintains working knowledge and follows all procedures and policies outlined in the Statement of Work, Physical Plant, and Operations Manuals.
Demonstrates proficiency in knowledge and operations of emergency drills, life safety, facility sanitation, escapes, and unusual occurrence procedures.
Works necessary hours during work stoppages to staff the center and accepts reassigned shifts without advanced notice.
Attends and participates in all required appointments and meetings, some of which may be off-site.
Responsible for general housekeeping of the center, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and emptying trash.
Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director.
