About The Position

The Resident Manager position in the Adult Rehabilitation Program (ARP) is responsible for supporting all aspects of the residence. This role requires the individual to live onsite at the Adult Rehabilitation or Transitional Living Program property and enforce house rules and security during evening and early morning hours. The Resident Manager will handle crisis intervention, supervise leisure activities, conduct bed checks, and ensure the facility is clean and orderly. They will also monitor various areas of the residence, administer drug and alcohol testing, and maintain confidentiality regarding residents' information. Documentation of policy violations and medication administration are key responsibilities, along with orienting new beneficiaries and attending required meetings. The role involves distributing reports and monies, overseeing in-house classes, and transporting beneficiaries to external activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to two years related job experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess a valid California Class C Driver License.
  • Ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Ability to complete The Salvation Army vehicle course training.
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce house rules and overall security of the ARP during evening and early morning hours.
  • Provide crisis intervention with beneficiaries as necessary, contacting Program Director/Corps Officer(s) in case of crisis.
  • Implement and supervise leisure time activities, both in and out of the ARP.
  • Conduct bed checks as scheduled.
  • Ensure the residence facility is kept clean and orderly.
  • Monitor activities in the canteen area, day rooms, and food service department when the Kitchen Coordinator is off.
  • Conduct and administer random and routine drug and alcohol testing for beneficiaries.
  • Enforce The Salvation Army policies relating to residents and maintain confidentiality as required by law.
  • Document violations of ARP policies and house rules and report to Program Staff and/or appropriate department officials each morning.
  • Maintain an accurate medication log report for all beneficiaries.
  • Administer medication distribution at scheduled med-calls, specific to the policies of the ARP facility and as directed by physician’s prescription.
  • Provide updated activities/meetings schedules, rosters, lists, and announcements for the residence and Chapel services.
  • Conduct orientation of all new beneficiaries.
  • Attend and participate in all meetings as required by Program Director and/or Corps Officer(s).
  • Distribute all daily reports, statistics, and monies (gratuities) to the various administrative departments.
  • Oversee in-house classes and meetings.
  • Transport beneficiaries to outside activities and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by Program Director/Administrator.
