Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or trade/vocational school certification; with a minimum of 3 years of experience in skilled trade, building/facility maintenance or other related experience in a skilled maintenance capacity.
- Any combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the requirements of the position.
- Must have general working knowledge of all maintenance crafts, including basic HVAC knowledge.
Nice To Haves
- HVAC certified is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conducts required planned and corrective maintenance to building surfaces, fixtures, systems, and equipment.
- Completes electrical and plumbing system planned maintenance.
- Completes carpentry related duties, masonry work, and repairs sheet rock.
- Performs minor paint jobs and other related tasks as: preparing surfaces for painting by patching plaster holes, sanding, scraping, or masking.
- Performs necessary manual labor to keep housing projects in a decent, safe, and sanitary condition including picking up trash and debris.
- Ability to enter work orders into the agency's computer programs.
- Participates in the emergency stand-by/call back rotation schedule.
- Performs mechanical tasks as repairing and/or replacing space temperature and HVAC equipment controls.
