About The Position

Dematic Corporation is now hiring for a Regional Resident Maintenance Technician. Under the direction of the Senior Field Service Manager, this position provides service and repair as well as service and maintenance training for installed Dematic systems and equipment. This position would be for the area of Montreal, Quebec. La société Dematic recrute actuellement un Technicien régional de maintenance résidentielle. Sous la direction du Responsable principal des services sur le terrain, ce poste assure l’entretien et la réparation des systèmes et équipements Dematic installés, ainsi que la formation à leur maintenance et leur service. Ce poste est à pourvoir dans la région de Montreal, Québec.

Requirements

  • Skills including a balance of Electronics, Electrical and Mechanical skills with an emphasis on Controls.
  • Technologist/technician in electrical, mechatronics program, or equivalent experience.
  • Four years (minimum) experience in resolving problems related to electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment.
  • Successful candidate must have some working experience with material handling equipment.
  • Software knowledge in languages such as Java, Python, SQL.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, Allen Bradley and Siemens.

Nice To Haves

  • Trouble shooting of PLC’s is helpful.
  • Experience in repair of Forklifts, Automated Guided Vehicles, or Robotics is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides service and repair for installed Dematic systems and equipment.
  • Provides service and maintenance training for installed Dematic systems and equipment.
  • Write concise, clear, and complete reports in the time frame required according to Dematic procedures.
  • Heavy responsibility for maintaining customer goodwill toward Dematic.
  • Ensure that Dematic systems have the greatest availability possible for Customer use and to ensure that Customers are satisfied with their Dematic system and equipment.
  • Scheduled maintenance.
  • Corrective maintenance.
  • Scheduled repairs.
  • Performs emergency repairs.
  • Practicing safe work habits and abiding by safety rules in accordance with customer and Dematic policies.
  • Logging all service work performed, recording downtime during repair and accounting for equipment service requests.
  • Consults with site manager and other Dematic engineering regarding maintenance problems, design deficiencies, and operational problems.
  • Diagnose and implement corrective action to problems with Dematic and other equipment.
